My praise is to God. I have been chasing my condition for over a year. Fatigue, shortness of breath just general tired even sleeping 12 hours a day. I've been to many doctors including a cardiologist. Then I got a cold, no big deal, but it was pneumonia and spent 4 days in the hospital. I had been seeing a lung doctor. (Pulmonologist) For many months and he decided I should see my cardiologist again. So I did and he set me up for a cathidor exam. I had 80% blockage in an arterie known as the widow maker. He removed the blockage and put in a stent. I'm going to cardiac physical therapy three times a week and will be with you in the replays. I praise God for giving me the strength to push through for an answer, and for guiding my surgeon's hands and for all the people involved in my recovery. And I also thank God for the peace I now feel. God was nudging me along and listened. I thought I was dieing and told God that it wasn't my time and God agreed, that wasn't his plan. My outlook on life has changed and I thank God for that. I look forward to making the occasional snarkey comment on the live chat for many years to come. I bless each and every one of you, thank you for your prayers. And I thank the lord almighty, amen. Danny

I hope I'm not being selfish, I've been sick (with a "cold") for over 3 weeks. Dry unproductive cough and couldn't sleep. I finally got some cough suppressants. I got 12 hours of sleep last night. Over those 3 weeks I felt many time like my life clock was running out. I've prayed many times for relief. But I hope more prayers the better. Bless you all. Danny.

So I was outside last Saturday, very windy and sunny but cold. Sunday I woke up with a puffy eye. Monday my eye was swollen shut. I went to a walk in clinic they didn't know. Tuesday eye still shut and the other eye looked puffy too. I was getting more cranky every day, and I said Lord I give it up to you. So I was cranky and gave up on fixing it. Lord it's in your hands. Turns out my wife took charge and took me to the ER. I got into the ER at 8 am. Nurses taking my vitals blood etc to test me. DR came in about 10:00. She took pictures to put into my records. She didn't know what it was either. The Dr came back at noon to give me test results. She said, what did you do? Your eyes aren't swollen. I said I took a nap. I got discharged and told I didn't need any medication. So swollen for 3 days and it gets better over an hour while I'm napping. I thought God had healed me. But I was doubting it because I'm not worthy. Why would God do that for me? I didn't ask to be healed, I just turned it over to him Was it a miracle, I think so. I didn't have to ask, he knew he needed to and he was reinforcing my faith. I've always believed in miracles I just never participated in one I'm growing in faith. Danny

This is from an email I sent to Brad and Tyler over a year ago in 2022. I just had to tell someone Dear Brad, Christa and family and Tyler and family, I just wanted to share with you our Thanksgiving and how it related to our morning Bible studies. I have a real dislike for Thanksgiving because of all the work we have to put into it and we always start late. This year was no different, but I recalled what Tyler had said the week before. Pray for the little things. I mentioned that to my wife and she said a heartfelt prayer for God to help us through this time. I think the Lord Jesus himself held his hand up and told God the Father and the holy spirit, I'll take this one as I am a skilled craftsman and carpenter. Well, answered prayers aren't always what you expect. While finishing cleaning off our antique dining room table, I reached across the table, which has 4 legs on each side of a pedestal, Crack, 4 legs on one side of the table broke off and it was now at a 45° angle to the floor. Brad you had receiently mentioned that we should be patient in tribulations. Dinner was ready and we didn't have a table to eat at. So I just stared at the broken table and started to laugh. Thankfully my wife's oldest daughter had a 6 foot folding table she uses for craft fairs so at least we had a table to eat at. And Jesus saved our family from having hot turkey and gravy spilling in their laps, that was His answer. It was a Thanksgiving I will never forget and once again God saved the day. Thanks for reading this, I hope it brought a smile to your face. God bless all of you. God's faithful servant, Danny. 2023 update. Thanksgiving last year was almost as eventful. The Wednesday night before Thanksgiving, I passed out in the kitchen. Ambulance ride to the hospital, one of the EMT's said happy Thanksgiving, it was after midnight. I went home 4 days later. My wife said I will do anything to get out of doing Thanksgiving.

Today's study hit home with me. I have suffered with depression all of my life. It wasn't until I started having panic attacks. It feels like watching a scary movie. Then the scare comes and you jump and your senses are heighten. Then you calm down. Unfortunately the feeling doesn't stop in a panic attack, for minutes, hours even days. I had to go to a clinic for a relief. Well they fixed that with drugs. They also tested me for depression. They told me I was extremely depressed which can cause the panic attacks. I felt ashamed to have a mental illness. Is there a family history of depression, they asked. I didn't know so I asked my parents. My mother said well Danny I don't know if we ever told you, her father, my grandfather hung himself in the barn after my parents were married. He was told by doctors that you should pull yourself up by your bootstraps. Now I wasn't ashamed, I was scared. What was going to happen to me? I started medication and they didn't work. Bad side affects. Tired, looking drunk, fainting, muscle tremors, among others. Finally I was put on Prozac in the 1980's it was a new drug. I took it for two weeks and one day I went to get coffee and I suddenly noticed that I felt good. Is that what normal feels like? It was amazing, I never felt like that before. And I have been on medication ever since. I remember a doctor said to me, if you were a diabetic and needed insulin would you not tell people that? Well, you need antidepressants, so shut up and take your pills. It's not your fault. So what does this have to do with God. This was before I was saved. But I think God was looking out for me because I am one of his children. It's a burden to be depressed, but we need burdens to overcome. And God overcame my plight. Yeah I have to take pills, but I thank God that I have them. I know I've rambled on, but I needed to tell others my journey so it might benefit others. Thank the Lord for my life and yours. Danny

Ok, so this was when I was a kid. Probably 11 or 12. It was summer. The best time of the year, summer vacation. My mother decided I should go to vacation Bible school. So I was on school vacation and had to go to school??? To add insult I had to walk to the church. But at least I had a friend to meet up with at church. Well one Friday leaving school I noticed a pile of garbage in a lower level stairwell. My friend had noticed it too and we said to each other we should fix that. So we agreed to meet at church on Saturday (not a school day) and clean that mess up. So we did, garbage bags in hand. We'll Monday came along and we are a Bible school again. The pastor teaching the class started with, does anyone know about someone cleaning up the back stairwell? Well my friend and I turned to look at each other, are we in trouble? The paster asked do you two boys know about this. Well it's hard to lie to your pastor. So we addmited we did it. He asked us why did you do that? Now we knew we were in trouble. So I spoke up and said, it needed to be done and nobody was doing it. The pastor replied that what we did was what a true Christian would do. You see a need and you fulfill it. We felt a little humbled then. The question is did God do this? My friend and I were born into two parent households. Who took us to church. Made us go to Bible school. Who taught us right from wrong. And when we saw a need we took care of it. Did God whisper in our ears to clean that mess up? Perhaps he did. But he also gave us parents that stayed together, took us to church, and taught us to be good Christians. So I figure God was in charge from the start, and I thank God every day for my life. So to wrap this up, God is involved with every step of our lives, weather we know it or not. So he gets the credit.

I had to take my wife to the ER this morning. It was -8° and my car was frozen shut. She's been sick for over a week, going to the bathroom 8 to 12 times a day. This morning was nasua with nothing to come up. We're hoping to figure out what's going on. She's dehydrated and getting IV fluids. I'll keep you posted on what happens.

Years ago I attended a Luthern church with my children in TX. We were welcomed with open arms and my son went into the nursery my daughters into Sunday school. So I wasn't busy so they invited me to a Bible study so we could attend the later service. The study was nice and then they asked if anyone had a testimonial. A lady spoke up about her experience. The couple were driving home on a low tank of gas. The light went on and a bell dinged. OUT OF GAS. So she prayed to the lord to help them make it home on fumes. And the rest of the story is that they made it home safe and sound, bless the lord. The next rest of the story was when they asked for comments, most people agreed it was a miracle. This is when they might have regretted inviting me to the Bible study. I asked when did the miracle actually happen? Here's when the trouble started. I said the lord our God created the heaven and earth, and man and woman made in his image. He gave us self will, understanding, and curiosity and morals, we are born with them. So generations later man creates a car. How do we know when it's out of gas? When it stops running. Well someone came up with a gas gage. When it's on E you are empty. Another person mentioned what good is it to tell someone they are out of gas, we could give them a warning, like a light or a bell when the tank is low. Well I'm sure it was discussed among them. One said people are stupid, give them 3 gallons. No, they might get used to that, only give them 2. Do you know when the light goes on and the bell dings how far you can go? I think God granted that miracle long before you were born. Do miracles happen every day? Yes, when my children were born that was one of God's miracles I got to see. Does he do them everyday, yes, did he do them thousands of years ago? Yes. What do you think

I haven't posted this yet because I didn't want it to look like I'm competing with Moni. She's got cancer and hopefully she is past the worst. My journey started the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. Felt like a cold, went to bed early. Wednesday still didn't feel well, my wife made me take a covid test. Yup I got covid, again went to bed early. Got up around midnight to take some meds. I'm in the kitchen and wake up on the floor. My wife standing over me, are you OK, what happened? I said I don't know. She helped me to my feet and boom I went down again. My wife thought I was dead. No response until my wife revived me asking what happened, my response was 'what do you want'. I didn't remember falling down. Got an ambulance and trip to the hospital. One of the guys said well happy Thanksgiving. I was in the hospital for four nights. My heart was in afib the whole time. Cat scans, x-rays, ekg, and eeg. I now have a pulmonary dr. A spot on my lung got bigger, I've got what looks like emphysema and sistic phybrosis. Parden the spelling. This all scared me to the core. People tend to pray to the lord more when in times of great need, I'm no different praying for all of you when I'm done praying for me. I have plans for my life and I hope the lord agrees with me. After all I have grand kids to spoil. Take care everyone and pray for another good day. God bless, Danny.

Brad was talking today about how the deciples couldn't believe that Jeasus could be killed. So I did some research about the prophecy of the Christ being killed in the old testament. A scripture by King David around 900 BC prophesied his death along with many other books but the deciples still wouldn't believe it. It is amazing how the Bible has all the pieces. And I am amazed at how much I am learning in these studies. So thank you Brad and Pastor Woods for allowing us into your home and sharing with all of us. And a big thank you to all of you that attend. Take care and blessings, Danny.

I hope I'm not opening a can of worms but.... I have a question about the lineage of Jeasus. Or maybe an explanation. Abraham father of Isaac. etc. etc. father of, father of, until Joseph the husband of Mary. It's all genetics up to Joseph but not the father of Jeasus. Jeasus considered Joseph to be his earthly father. How did the Jews reconcile Joseph being a step father and still part of Jeasus's lineage?

I asked Brad what a praise report was because of this. A few/many years ago I traveled a lot for work. Stuck in an airport with a delayed flight, I found a little stand to sit at and have a beer. Sitting next to me was a black girl on the phone with her credit card company. Her card didn't work. She called her sister for help, I can't buy anything to eat and I'm hungry! She finally gave up. A voice in my head said "you have extra money in your back pocket in case you need it". Without thinking I pulled the money out and slapped it on the counter and said get something to eat. Then I said God bless you and walked away. She shouted back, God bless you. You see it's not a praise for me but for God moving to help someone and to mention his name didn't hurt. God moved me that day and it gave me great joy. Not that I did something great but that God used me to do something. You never know how or why God touches you but he does. God bless you all.

Just when you think things will get better you're proven wrong. I broke my foot this weekend. Not by doing some manly thing, but I slipped on a fly swatter in the kitchen. New rule, if you drop a fly swatter, PICK IT UP. Went to urgent care, x-rays, and a boot. I prayed to God for healing and God answered thru my doctor. Healed in 6 to 8 weeks. If you pray on my behalf please ask for my patience and understanding while healing. I love you all and pray for you everyday. God bless you all. Amen.
