Quote that I froze up on..

โ€œI choose to believe the Bible because it's a reliable collection of historical documents written by eyewitnesses during the lifetime of other eyewitnesses. They report supernatural events that took place in fulfillment of specific prophecies and claim that their writings are divine rather than human in origin.โ€

I don't even know where to begin or how it all started. But I've noticed that my depression has gotten worse than ever. And I honestly thought that those who are following the Lord Jesus Christ Almighty didn't suffer from depression. And if they did the Lord would heal them from it. You all know what I endured from my childhood & I had PTSD & depression bcuz of it. But since giving my life to the Lord Jesus Christ Almighty I haven't had any relapses until now. And idk how else to put it other than I'm so tired. Physically, Emotionally, Spiritually tired. Especially with everything that's going on in the world & with our brothers & sisters going through such difficult times. I honestly felt like giving up & walking away from the Lord Jesus Christ Almighty. And I've never felt like that would ever be something thatโ€ฆ

Martha, I understand how you are feeling. I feel the same way at times. Even reading the word doesn't seem to help. I believe it's my mind and body telling me I need rest. Sometimes I just sit quietly. I don't watch tv or play games I just sit. Sometimes I think about everything I have.

Hang in there the warm weather and sunshine will be back soon.

Love you

Grief

I have been praying for Leah who lost her beloved husband.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 comes to mind. It was mu mom's favorite scripture. I read it as part of her eulogy.

For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.

A time to be born, and a time to die;

A time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted

A time to kill, and a time to heal

I am still confused where to exactly post on this outreach place, but here I go:

I was late for my favorite daily meeting (Tuesday through Friday that is) because I had a looooong phone conversation with the nicest person ever. She works for HighMark and called to check if I had questions, concerns...... and was incredibly personable (not the pushy grumpy kind that tends to call here and there where a "no thank you" is not accepted). We talked for over an hour, about the benefits... and how Jesus is not religion but a personal relationship, to canning, nutrition and again how important it is to make Jesus Lord. It basically started when she asked if I had plans should I need extended care. My answer: I hope to just die or be part of the rapture, whichever comes first, I do not care for a medically prolonged dying time. Turned out she is a believer and seriously made my morning. Topped it off with the end and then replay of todays BP Devo. Good teaching, great stories and though a virtual, still a beloved little community PEACE

Husband/marriage

Please pray for David, my husband, he seems depressed and in pain. He has started to slide back to his old ways of lying, hiding important things from me, he's keeping away from life. It's as if he gas blinded himself from everything that is around him. He's always on his cellphone playing games and watching videos. He's not active. So he's gained so much weight. Even our doctor is worried. His behavior is effecting our marriage and our finances. The only thing I know to do is pray for him.

I get so angry with his behavior. Please pray for him, me and our relationship. Thank you

Looking

I look ever day for reasons to praise God. It's not always easy. But if you look you can always find reasons to praise God. Good health, warm home, healthy family, food on the table. The reasons to praise God don't have to be great but the small reasons are just as important. I praise God for all of you on Everyday Outreach, my family, my church family and my neighbors. Keep looking for all that God has blessed you with even the small things. Amen

Testimony

Praising God that I finally finished my room renovation and redo. So there is order again in my space. With the ability to use my sewing machines and looms easily and space for me to draw and work on kids books again. God is good!

January 26 devotional from Joshua concerning possessing the land.

This is my first post but it might be lengthy. The Scripture the Lord brought to my mind was in Genesis when Abraham was told by God his descendants would return where he was at (Canaan) but the sin of the Amorites would have to become full before they could go into the land.

Gen 15:16ย  But in the fourth generation they shall come hither again: for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet Exodus 23:27-30 KJV

I will send my fear before thee, and will destroy all the people to whom thou shalt come, and I will make all thine enemies turn their backs unto thee. [29] I will not drive them out from before thee in one year; lest the land become desolate, and theโ€ฆ

Good point Little Owen...So glad you had time to check in here.

I think God spells out His reasoning in...

Judges 3:1-4

1ย ย Now these are the nations that the LORD left, to test Israel by them, that is, all in Israel who had not experienced all the wars in Canaan.

2ย ย It was only in order that the generations of the people of Israel might know war, to teach war to those who had not known it before.

3ย ย These are the nations: the five lords of the Philistines and all the Canaanites and the Sidonians and the Hivites who lived on Mount Lebanon, from Mount Baal-hermon as far as Lebo-hamath.

4ย ย They were for the testing of Israel, to know whether Israel would obey the commandments of the LORD, which he commanded their fathers by the hand of Moses.

Things may look really tough in life, and it might just be for our testing.

Will we learn and continue to be obedient?

Will we trust God?
