Here's a little background, our minister relies on me quite often. I'm an ordained Elder. I have been part of the Ash Wednesday service for over 15 years. This year I wasn't ask to be apart of the service. Which was good because 1. I don't drive 2. My husband has been working 10+ hour shifts & 3. Ash Wednesday is on a week day. It's very difficult to get to church that's an hour away. I was,as always, on the phone with my sister on Monday. I decided I better check my email. Our pastor sent me the itinerary for Ash Wednesday service informing me I'm the litergist.

It's prayer time now. I told Jesus you know my needs. If it's your will to meet them I'll take it from there. Our son Justin told me he could take me to church and bring me home. Such a blessing. I get to church to find out that no one set up communion. On my way to the church kitchen I prayed Jesus you know my need. If it's your will to meet my need I'll take it from there. In the church freezer was bread and there was juice in the church refrigerator. I was able to set up communion before anyone showed up for the service. How many times has God met my needs but I didn't take it from there? How many times has God showed me what He wants me to do and I ignored it? He doesn't always meet us in the big things but also in the small everyday things. Like helping set up communion during a hot flash. I praise God everyday, all day for everything.
