As promised here's the testimony of me rapping on the spot to share the Gospel...

context:

For my grandmother's 80th birthday. all daughters, granddaughters, and great granddaughters, came together to celebrate with her. We all went on a road trip to PA for a concert and theater show.

But I had an allergic reaction to a wasp sting right as we were leaving, so I was on 2 benadryl and motion sick meds at the same time, basically a zombie. While in the car with all my cousins slightly stressful.

They all picked the music which was the equivalent to waterboarding. So 3 hours straight of their “music” and praying for them to be spared from those horrible worldviews. We stopped for gas and coffee before the show started.

We started talking about music styles and what each one did and didn't like. Then it was my turn, I replied that I really liked country and hard rock, but I'll listen to anything if it's done well, even some rap.

To which they were full of disbelief and said that I couldn't possibly have listened to any, let alone known any! Now the apostle Paul said to let every mouth be stopped, so.... I busted out an entire christian rap song! Yes I know my little country girl self, with big thick glasses, in a dress, with the voice of a dying cat. Just sang it!

Promptly their jaws dropped! The one asked why I learned that song. I said because it is a list of people from church history. Then as if on Que someone asked what is church history! Springboard straight into the Gospel! So I fought through being half asleep and scared to death, gave a simple and quick Gospel answer. 30 seconds

As usual with any evangelism endeavor distractions come right when you get near the target, they had a strong desire to get to the theater as soon as I finished.

Got through the show barely awake and the car ride home was the same 3 hour torture. But this is the glory of it all and I can only say it was God's gracious hand! Me and my one cousin whom I was close with, were left alone in the car at the end, and she had some questions. And I won't lie I was very worried for her and thought she would not even think on these things.

Fast forward to about 1 year later she had a moving away party, I bought her a gift and a family Bible. She broke down in tears and promised to read the tract.

Then another year later she came up right before my grandmother's 82nd birthday. The first thing she told me that day, she's saved and going to a solid church. God is so good!

The Gospel does not come back void, even if you are a walking zombie, make nothing known but Christ and Him Crucified, risen from the dead.

Further up and further in!

Yours in Christ Delanie Bee,
