Recently at the U of H School of Optometry, I was chatting w/ a middle-aged lady at first check-in. We'd been there a few times working out our vision issues and she recognized me. Evidently in our past I made her feel comfortable. Today was different. She looked at me right off the bat saying that she was getting so worried about the times and that our society is reverting back to the 60's. She confided she was really scared. OK, you guys know the feeling... a very warm, comfortable sensation filled me and it took over as I went on to chat. Now this gal had expressed her love for God in our past chats and this seemed out of place. I looked at her square in the eyes and replied that our God is bigger than that! God knows our fears & worries and that she should take a moment and breathe. I reminded her that as a woman of faith that our God was in control. My next comment that made her eyes water. I reminded her that this fear is NOT from GOD. She instantly stood up and deeply hugged me. She repeatedly thanked me for saying that. She further stated this was the exact message she needed today. I went to the next step of check-in whispering out loud to God so many humble thanks that HE used ME to help her. I feel like we were both blessed.
