Lord, the world,

Is in such despair;

But why don't,

I seem to care?

Loving the darkness,

And hating the light;

While I'm the one,

Clothed with the Spirit's might.

They are dying,

And so afraid;

Remembered the Commission,

I've disobeyed.

The saving message,

I know so well;

Seems there is,

No courage to tell.

Oh! What happened to my zeal!

Where has it gone?

I want to be faithful,

Till He calls me home.

Forsake foolishness,

Cry out for wisdom;

Rejoice! Christ shall have His Bride,

And His Kingdom!

So take courage in God,

And seek His face;

Flee from sin,

Cling to His grace.

I no longer can walk,

I now must run;

For my life is short,

And there is much work to be done!
