On Fri. July 17th, as I was heading back home from servicing the hot tub at a rental my wife cleans and i do the basic maintenance ( retired from the big projects) anywho- raining is an understatement. Rd speed says 35, lucky if you make 30 because of so many curves..I'm headed down hill doing 25. I come around a blind curve and some noodle brain is trying to pass a truck towing a mini track hoe ( passing up hill in a blind curve on a double yellow line..OMG really 🤦) my 1st thought was we're gonna have a head on and this isn't gonna be good 🤔

Part of my Christian journey is to be more mindful of the many blessings and people I have in my life. It's too easy to go through the motions of every day life and not take the time to remember who is responsible for all of those moments. On easy days when everything goes as I plan I take time to thank God for even the smallest things. Taking care of my family. Cleaning our home. Planting vegetables in the garden. Feeding the chickens and sheep. Sitting in my lounge chair and enjoying the day. But when things don't go as planned or when I'm in a lot of pain I forget to thank God. This story is one of the greatest regrets of my life and difficult to write. It was about 26 plus years ago. It was a Wednesday; I remember it well because it was the day the grocery ads sales started. I drove my 6 year old to school, drove to the church I was a member.
