Whew! it has been a crazy last two weeks! But God is so good! Can you believe we are half way through the year already! My! How time flies! Surely life is vapor!
Thank you all so much for your love and prayers. May God bless you and yours richly.
Update:
Praising God that I was able to visit my grandfather in rehab on Thursday [First time I saw him in a month, hospitals in my state won't allow visitors under 18 unless it is a dire emergency. Grrrr! But the Rehab lets all ages visit. Thankfully! ]
He had no idea I was coming. I came in right after my grandmother. He turned his head [has some vision issues due to the stroke] He saw me, pushed off the table and rolled the wheelchair back about two feet, threw his arms in the air, started dancing with his feet, Shouted out, “ My Delanie! Come here!” I ran to hug him as quickly as I could. He hugged me so tight, and said “Oh I love you, and missed you!” And we both started to tear up. So good to see him again!
We had the family meeting that day and all went well.
On Friday My grandfather got to come home. He is doing really well. He can walk with his walker, can pretty much take care of himself, is in good spirits and is back to his fun loving self. Cracking jokes etc. Praise God! He is extremely lucky, correction *BLESSED to be doing so well, considering the size of the stroke and brain bleed. He has some vision issues due to it and some trouble talking, but no paralyzation Praise the Lord!
He has PT 3 days a week and praying that he continues to improve. He seems to appreciate all the work we did in his room. That's another praise, God is so good! We were able to have his room ready and finished before he came home. My uncle especially worked his tail off [he's a carpenter] and our two friends, redoing his room. Mom and I helped where we could. Most of the family was laid up during all of this. So thankful everything worked out.
My aunt is almost all better from her health issues, still on the road to recovery.
My father is still in extreme pain. He has a herniated disc that is pinching his sciatic nerve. On top of all his other health issues. Please Pray that there is an opening for him to get into the doctor as soon as possible, still waiting.
My grandfather's heart seems to be softening some. Please continue to pray for his salvation. Oh that God would save him! For an open door with him for the Gospel. Please pray that he would think about eternity, and that Jesus would save him.
Please pray for my grandmother's heart to soften to the Gospel, and that God would save her. Also for an open door for the Gospel with her.
We are all physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausted. But God is so good! He never promised easy, but He promised to never leave us, nor forsake us! Please pray for us all to rest and recover.
What a wonderful God and Savior we have! Praise be to the Lamb who was slain! He is risen and reigning victorious! His grace is sufficient, and in our weakness His strength is revealed!
I want to thank you all so much for your prayers! God hears them, please keep them coming. I am praying for you all and your requests. Please let me know if there is anything you need prayer for.
May God richly bless you and yours! I thank God for you all daily. May He grant you all grace and strength and hope for whatever you are facing. Much love and many prayers.
Your sister in Christ,
Delanie
