I really didn't think I would post this week, but I humbly need to thank all of you for your prayers. THEY WORKED!!!! It has been an incredibly heart-wrenching sit and wait kind of week that started late last Friday. I can now clearly see the multitude of blessings in all of it. Long story short... Daughter in-law suddenly fell victim to pre-eclampsia at 32 weeks of pregnancy. Went to ER, ended up getting checked into the hospital to learn that in 48 hrs since her last checkup she 'suddenly' has very severe pre-eclampsia. D-I-L is now in major physical stress and fighting for her own well being against critically high blood pressure, heart, and kidney damage! Now suddenly the baby stopped moving. Into emergency surgery where they delivered my 10th beautiful grand, a little girl weighing 3 pounds 10 ounces and 17 centimeters long. She is WAY premature, but is in great shape. She was born Sunday. She is already off many of the tubes they started with. Now she only has a micro-drip feeding tube down her throat and a little extra oxygen as she grows and learns to develop these skills herself. She is doubling her food intake daily and doing all the baby things she should! My daughter in-law is recuperating much faster than expected and just got released to come home with major restrictions as well as continued monitoring! My son's navy division immediately placed him on emergency leave so he could do what needed to be done. GOD even provided multiple care options for their 6 year old daughter!! I know GOD protected all of them through many blessings all along the way of the last 7 incredulous days. These blessings are too many to list, but you know how GOD shows off in big, loud and little, soft ways. GOD sent his angels to guard my family in California. It was hard, but we did not try to find a way to get there. God put it in my heart to stay home - HE had it under control. I'm very emotional and tearfully wanting each of you to know that while it is easier said than done, fully relying on GOD is what got all of us through this crazy week with wonderful results. Thank you, LORD, for intervening with my human ways! Thank you EVERYDAY OUTREACH for your prayers!
Thank you all for the prayers about my test on Monday, I got a 97% on it.
My grandmother had a great birthday. She was having a good day, went out with her sister, and then had dinner and cake. I was in charge of that part.
And I personally thank God the I had made enough meatballs and pasta for lunch the next day. Because 3 minutes before leaving to bring dinner to her house, 10 minutes before it was to be served. I find out that the 2 extra I was expecting to feed, turned into 8 extra people. I was able to calm down and grab extra snacks before heading out the door. There was just enough for the party and a little bowl leftover for dad's dinner. [he wasn't up to coming]
Everyone was happy with the cake, and I didn't drop it holding it for my grandmother while we sang happy birthday to her, so she didn't have to leave her recliner. How'd I get that job?! It was a little bit heavy.. But no accidents Thank the Lord. And we took home the Rest of the cake that wasn't cut, I woke up the next morning it had fallen completely apart in the carrier. Thinner Icing. Very thankful that didn't happen at the party.
And as you guys know I've been looking for a puppy for a while. Praise God I was able to go get one on Wednesday night. He's my mini mutt a whole bunch of mini breeds crossed with rat terrier. In other words super cute! Named him Knox, I picked the calmest and shyest of the litter, and all he does is cuddle and sleep, eat, run for a bit then crash again. So sweet! But very clingy. Now to train him to hand out tracts! Think I'll work on potty training first. Already learned how to fetch.
As for my other grandparents still doing their laundry and shopping for them. My grandfather has been having some good days lately and he's been Helping me with school by giving me movies about history to watch. Praying that I get an opportunity to share the Gospel directly with him. I don't like only sharing nutshell versions, but my grandmother keeps cutting me off whenever I start to tell him. While she claims to be a christian. Please pray for grace and wisdom to deal with this situation.
But as much that goes on or piles on, God is good! His will be done! His Kingdom come!
I am on a mission to look for blessings & give thanks in my daily activities. I have always liked dragonflies. I will say hello to them & thank the good Lord that they are near. I swear I think in the last couple years they are miniature guardian angels the Lord sent to protect me from wasps. Evidently I am now allergic to wasps. When I go outside & a dragonfly literally blocks my path forward fluttering right in front of me, I now immediately look around for wasps. Guess what, there is always a wasp on the other side of that dragonfly!!! Time to turn around, go inside & immediately thank the Lord for his protection by sending me dragonflies.
@Delanie, I just know God is smiling every time you do anything. You speak & act with your heart that HE filled. Yes, your plate is full, but you got this girl because God's got you!
Praise God school is going well and I am starting to figure out a routine. Learning to use all the buffalo so to speak when it comes to my time, and not just doom scroll in the small bits in between different tasks.
There have been some new trials but God is faithful, and everything goes according to His plan. I don't have the right to argue with Him, it doesn't work out that well anyway. And I don't need to worry because He pre planned everything to happen down to the millisecond, and oh what peace that gives! Just trust and obey as the hymn says.
My neighbor [who is my relative ] has cancer, my grandmother [mom's side] has what seems to be the beginnings of dementia please pray as we deal with this, my Grandfather [dad's side] is progressing with it as well, and my grandmother [dad's side] is getting more fixed in her ways. Please pray I can catch her sober again and share the Gospel with her. They are all lost, but they all know the Gospel. And they're still breathing so there is hope that they will come to Christ before it is too late! I ask for your prayers in this.
I just keep on loving them and serving them as much as possible, and share the Gospel at every given opportunity. Again and again, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes,” Romans 1:16 But on the same hand have to show them that I love them and I'm not just talking. The Washing machine still broken so doing Dad's parents laundry, and doing the shopping/meal prep for both sets of grandparents. Lots of opportunities there. In the mundane but it's all for the King! Jesus is worthy!
I thank you all for your prayers. Each one of you are in my thoughts and prayers daily. I thank God for you all. My Love to you all.
Gotta love the expression, "I love it when God shows off!" I spent time this week articulately looking for blessings. Some I realized are in disguise. Easy blessing - my cardio report came back with glorious numbers! Thank you, Jesus! One of my boys got caught in the DOGE layoffs but just got picked up by another division and starts work in a couple weeks!!! Wahoo!! Thank you, Jesus! Hubby was planning on retiring late October and turned in his final date. WELL, the company decided to act immediately and let him go with a very large unpaid commission still on the table. We've spent the last couple weeks fighting to get that money. My amazing daughter in-law came to the rescue and wrote the most incredible letters for him to send on a couple occasions demanding that back pay. After all the heartache and struggle the money was deposited electronically this morning. The loss of his job is a blessing in disguise that is multi-faceted. Thank you, Jesus, for showing us this! Even my other son, military, finally got put back on day shift in the nick of time as wife is due in 6 weeks with second child they tried for 5 years to conceive. That prayer is still ongoing. October 9 is still coming. Thank you, Jesus! I may not be a great Bible scholar, but I can pray!!! He is obviously listening when I look at these answers. I am going to really stop and focus on acknowledging blessing all along the way and thanking HIM constantly.
Praising God that I was blessed with an opportunity to share the Gospel with my one grandmother, the other day. No real response but I think she actually listened to me this time. A win is a win.
