Well, I've mentioned briefly in the chats that I've hurt my legs, So here is the whole story. I'll explain.
This is really a series of 4 weeks of events that happened.
5 Weeks ago it was very wet and slippery outside, when going to take care of my grandmother I slid down her ramp. Praising God that I was able to catch myself on the rail and not fall onto the concrete slab. But as I caught myself twisted my right knee and ankle. I was able to dry the ramp before anyone else found out it was slippery. Thank God it was me not my grandmother!
The next Saturday, we went to a bunch of stores to get stuff for my cousin's wedding. One of the parking lots was packed, cars were everywhere, when I was trying to cross over to get to our car, another car came out of nowhere coming within 2 feet of me. Almost hitting me. In my backing up, I twisted my left ankle... But praising God that all that happened to me was a twisted ankle. I could have easily been a splat if it wasn't for God's hand of providence sparing me. And it made me evangelize with more zeal and passion that day because of it.
Mid week I was feeling better so I was working on stacking wood, when I twisted my right ankle again in one of the skids.
The following Saturday was the day of my cousin's wedding. When I went out that morning to take care of my animals, Something blew into my eyes as I was walking down the steps. When I was wiping my eyes I missed the step and fell down the stairs smashing my knees into the ground.... [apparently I can't multitask to well when it involves walking]
Fast forward to that evening, at the wedding reception, the ground was uneven because the party was in a recently harvested corn field, everyone was moving and I was trying not to step on the bride's dress train so as to not make her fall, as I did I put all of my weight onto my bad ankle promptly causing me to fall backwards and roll out of the tent... bruising my right hip... Not to mention I am still recovering from my bruised tail bone from back in May.
The next day at church I was holding a baby [2 year old] and she decided to try and flip out of my arms.. when catching her I pulled my left shoulder.. But praise God I caught her before she fell in to metal back of the chair in front of us.
That evening I was banned from doing any crazy work, and told to rest. My dad loves me! But I hate resting!! So I've caught up on a lot of crochet, planned most of Christmas' gifts and packed some shoe boxes for children this Christmas.
Well that's what happened. God is good! Thanking God that though this wasn't the most fun experience for me, He was taking care of me the whole time, and I was able to serve Him through it. Being in the right place at the right time. God truly works all things for the good of those who love Him!
So if you take anything away from these experiences of mine, Trust God, and pay attention to where your walking! Both spiritually and physically.
Praying for you Delanie!!! Please take the time you need to rest, so you can heal, and not re-injure yourself. I know you hate to rest, but sometimes, we just have to!
More praises from wedding week,Ā wedding day and post wedding week.
OurĀ oldest son Chris was able to give my Aunt Ruby , his Aunt Terri and their Grandma (my mom)Ā a ride up to the reception building from the wedding gazebo area., down the hill God knew, that Chris, with his servant heart andĀ being an usher (making him available after the ceremony) would allow him to be available to bring his car down to give them a ride. Due to physical limitations and/or needing a safer way up the hill vs beautiful, but uneven steps, was a huge blessing to us all.

Being able to spread the Truth OF my Faith, with many guest on the brides side.Ā I am not sharing this to brag, I am sharing this because God made an opportunity for me to praise Him. Ā Many of theĀ brides guest came up to me, the Mom of theĀ groom, and let me know how much they adore my son, and think heās so thoughtful,Ā so kind and so nice.Ā I told them thank you and that I was glad for that.Ā As hisĀ mom, I can tell you heās not perfect, But I am so happy, in the big picture, he is a wonderful young man.
I let them know I appreciated them sharing that with me.
But, I also addedā¦.
āwhen he graduated from college in 2014 and moved from Michigan to South Carolina, I prayed for God to take care of him and parent him in ways that we, as parents, had dropped the ballā.
Because, donātĀ we all know, as parents, we try our best, and then have to let go.
Soā¦.then we have to put them in GodāsĀ hands.

While the bride and groom, were in Michigan for the wedding, their county in South Carolina, Spartanburg county,Ā lost power as Hurricane HeleneĀ bared down on northern South Carolinaā¦and much more.
So less than 48 hours after they left South Carolina for the wedddimg, the house lost power along with a huge area. Hereās where God shows up. The neighbor was takingĀ care of the cat, therefore had access to the house. My son had a small generator for emergencies. This neighbor was able to use the generator to keep his refrigerator cold and my sonāsĀ refrigerator cold.
Therefore, after getting married, they were able to go home to safe food instead of a huge mess to clean up fromĀ the freezer ans refrigerator.
In addition, since they were up north, and way away from the disaster, they were able to pick up a generator of the same make, and a similar model, for the neighbor, per the neighborās request.
AND, they actually had room to fit that generator into the vehicle,Ā all the way to South Carolina.
Praise God that weather did not come in two days sooner and cause them to perhaps be trapped or even harmed as they traveled north, on one of the roads that was severely damaged and is still impassable.
Please continue to pray for all of those affected by the storm far and wide.
Since the audio during last weekās live wasĀ a little bumpy at times, feel free to go back and read last weekās part one, on everydayoutreach.com..
PS. They head home from there London, and other parts of Great Britain honeymoon, Saturday morning. Praise God, They have been safe the whole time.
My son has been allergic to peanuts since he was a toddler. Heās now also allergic to cashews and pistachios.
So at the restaurant, he asked the waitress if they use peanut oil. The waitress went to check and came back and said they donāt use peanut oil, but said āfull disclosure, every two weeks we boil peanuts in one particular potā. That was the end of that rehearsal dinner location choice. We left and ate somewhere else.
And to be honest, it wasnāt that nice of a restaurant, nor was it in a very good location.
I chose another restaurant in the same general area of Lansing Michigan. I contacted them and asked many questions, including if they use peanut oil or have nuts. Explaining the reason for our event, and our sonās nut allergy. I learned then that the chef has a son, unfortunate for his family, is allergic to peanuts. Therefore, the chef and the whole staff understand how to be nut safe and safely serve guests with allergies. Even though there were snafus with some of the other details of rehearsal dinner, the day of, we are still VERY blessed for Godās provision in going before us with this matter of life protecting details and ease any anxiety, the groom, or this mama would have.
Speaking of safety, perhaps saving lives, and God going before usā¦.
The brideās mom used to live in Lake Lure NC, and now lives a fair ways west of Lake Lure. Yes, her home lost power for several days while gone for the wedding, but she had no damage to her home, her yard or her driveway. and she wasnāt in North Carolina where she couldāve potentially been in danger during hurricane Helene, since her gentemen friend lives in Lake Lure NC. Two of the wedding guests, which includes the gentlemen friend, live in Lake Lure. It is possible, those two elderly people, not from the same household, would have been stuck/trapped at home or in danger, if they had been in North Carolina. Praise God for his blessings of safety. From what I hear, their homes are safe, barre South a few days ago weāre still waiting for power to be turned on.
Unfortunately, that means they will have a refrigerator/freezer full of food to deal with. Minor compared to what could have happened.
At one point the bride said, āI plan a wedding a year out and it causes people to pre-evacuate before a hurricane hits Florida and up thru North Carolina.
And thatās where we bring in God going before two bridesmaids from Florida. One from Jacksonville, and one from Orlando. They were ONLY delayed in flying out, but SAFE. Unfortunately, were not able to be at rehearsal, but were able to make it to the rehearsal dinner and WERE ABLE to be there as bridesmaids on this special wedding day. Praise God.
And that is the end of part one.
Sidenoteā¦.as i typo this, they are flying out for their honeymoon yet this week. Iād appreciate prayers for safe travels there and back and during their Time in London, and The surrounding area.
PS⦠I might need a reminder to do part two. š
Praising God that my uncle brought us a cord and a half of wood. Seasoned dry and doesn't need to be split. Some of it will need to be sawed down, but no splitting!!! Praise God! With the half cord i split and stacked we should Lord willing have enough wood for this winter. āļø God is good!
Praise God for the many groups who are attempting to assist those who are in trouble after hurricane Helene. There are so many that are willing to help those who are in need. My wife Kelly and I continue to pray for those in need, those helping to clear roadways for rescuers to be able to respond safely, and those who are stepping up where our goverment has dropped the ball through donations of cash, supplies and prayers.

I have so many things to praise God for, around our Sonās wedding 2 1/2 weeks ago, that this will be part one.
God went before us through the whole process of this wedding, as we began to plan it last fall.
We had chosen a restaurant for the rehearsal dinner, last fall. At Christmas time our son and his fiancĆ© visited us in Michigan, from upstate South Carolina. The rehearsal dinner location and wedding venue are about two hours away, ans we went to visit both locations with them while they were in Michigan. I did not call ahead to the rehearsal dinner location . I didnāt want them to be prepared for anything or have the right answers. I followed my gut/the the Holy Spirit in that decision.
My son has been allergic to peanuts since he was a toddler. Heās now also allergic to cashews and pistachios.
So at the restaurant, he asked the waitress if they use peanut oil.
