May Day! May Day!
Calling on all Everyday Outreach Family Members to share your rendition of how God is providing for, guiding you through, leading you onward, or answering your prayers.
Your account may be exactly what someone else needs in the way of wisdom or encouragement. Just as Joseph stood in the gap for his family, may God give you many opportunities to share how He is using you in these last days.
These testimonies are shared on the Devo on Friday.
God is so good!
I've been praying for wisdom and the means, to buy a new camera. Because the one I have, was my aunt's about 10 years ago, and it has worked very well for me. But now it is falling apart.
I became content with the fact that it would take me a long time to save up for it. And didn't bother with it anymore.
Fast forward about a month: The other day I was at my grandparents house helping out here and there. And my Grandfather said, “My Delanie!” in the fun loving way he always does. “Do you have a camera?” I said, “Yes, it was my aunt's old camera.” And he said “Here,” and handed me a new camera, “This one wasn't right for me, I got a new one. It's yours!” Praise God!
I teared up, and thanked him. I told him that, I was saving up for one and this is perfect! Thank you! He had no idea that I was saving up for one, and my grandmother said that this was God looking out for me. And it most certainly was!
And the really cool thing is that I had just enough saved up for the camera to buy a bulk order of specific tracts, that I was out of! God is so good!
In the devotions we were asked, is God involved in our daily lives? Does He care about the small stuff in our lives? Yes! He most certainly does!
I know this might sound silly, but I was working on a very intricate afghan for mother's day, and late Saturday night I was very near to running out of a color. I said, “Lord you know that I'm almost out of yarn. You're in control. Please in spite of me, allow me to have enough to finish. It's in Your hands.” And I had a 6 inch scrap left over! [That's not even enough to make a stitch] God is so good! I was able to finish is and surprise my mom on Sunday. God cared for me in my little problems. He is so good and faithful!
Praying for you Delanie
Amen Delanie! What a blessing you are to all of us!
Sitting down and looking back at the last several months I’m astounded by God’s loving mercy. In the last few months I had someone I’ve cared about and loved as a brother in Christ I’ve known over twenty years lose his mind due to an infection and try to kill me, had to move and had some of my family absolutely hate me for my health issues I had no say in, went through a series of medical debacles including a gi surgery, then while recovering falling, splitting my head open and breaking my collar bone. Then had to go home on tpn (which I’m still on months later) because I cannot sustain myself in terms of food or hydration at this time adequately, yet. But through it all I’ve had some whom I thought were friends turn in not so fair weather and disappear from my life. Yet, again and again I’ve seen little bit of proof of God’s mighty hand in my messed up little life. And for that I will continue to say thank God for his mercy endures. To know you’re not alone when facing hardship is an immeasurable blessing. Then I have an amazing online community and the lovely group here who have been kind. For that I thank God again.
My testimony: All Glory to God and none to myself.
I was born out of wedlock to a 20 year old first time Mom. My mom has never married. She gave her life to Christ when I was 3. I grew up in a great church with many godly father figures who included me both in church and at their homes. I was friends with their kids and I learned how to be a good father.
God is a better Father than any earthly father and has had His hand over me my entire life. I have been married 10+ years and have 6 kids (and counting). He has provided and He is glorified by my testimony because without Him I would be lost and hurting.
Praise God forever!
❤️🙌Hallelujah my dear Sister Delanie! Thank you for sharing your testimony and encouragement with us! 🎶When the roll is called up yonder, I’ll see you there! 🎶❤️🙌
My Testimony of God saving me - the chief of sinners, by His marvelous grace!
I felt I should share this, I pray it is a blessing and an encouragement to you all.
Hello, this is Delanie Bee. I'm 16 years old, a daughter, granddaughter, niece, cousin, a sister in Christ, and most importantly, a sinner saved by grace alone. Therefore a child of God. Only through Christ do I have any worth, He loved me, He bore the punishment and wrath I deserved, He died for me, He rose again from the dead three days later, and He is reigning at His Father's right hand! And one glorious day He will return in His righteous judgment and glory! And He has granted us [true Christians] the privilege to proclaim His wondrous Gospel of Salvation to all the nations. [Matthew 28] Praise the Lord!
As for my personal testimony of conversion it is, as I heard in a sermon somewhere, “Gloriously boring.” I do not remember a day without Jesus Christ being Lord and Savior. But I'm told I was baptized upon a solid profession of faith at the age of 4, although I don't remember that.
But around March 2017 is where everything “became real”. [for lack of a better term] My Grandfather, who was my world, was dying. I remember just sitting on my bed crying out, “God please heal him! I don't want him to not be here! But if you take him home to heaven, I surrender! Your will be done.” God in His sovereign mercy called him home. And then it was like. Okay Delanie, are you going to follow Christ all the way, or are you going to live for yourself? For the first time in my life shared the Gospel with one of my aunts. We buried my Grandfather, and moved on. I still miss him terribly and long for the day I'll see him again. But God is good!
That's when I started really reading the Bible and not just the comfy passages. The Holy Spirit revealed sins and corrected me in love. Started to learn and study the old hymns of the faith. And they helped me so much to understand theology. My favorite hymn was “Standing On the Promises of God” [still one of my favorites] and still learning and clinging to God's blessed promises.
Just kept on studying, praying, actually paying attention to sermons, taking notes, etc... just growing. When I was around 11-12 years old, in God's providence stumbled across [at the time] Big Family Devotions, now Everyday Outreach. Dad gave me permission to attend the studies, and comment. I cannot express what a blessing this family has been. Growing with you guys has been and is such a privilege, So many times you've held me in prayer, and I am so thankful. You guys welcomed me warmly, walk with me, and help me focus on Christ. Thank you so very much Mr. Brad and Mrs. Christa, Pastor Woods, and everyone. Words cannot express my gratitude for you all. Philippians 1:3-5 “I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.”
Fast forward to today. I am FAR from being perfect! But God is sanctifying me and making me more like His dear Son. He is so good and faithful! He will never leave us nor forsake us! He will see us home to glory! Oh praise the Lord!
The Christian life is far from easy, it is not your “best life now.” It is constantly dying to yourself, taking up your cross and following Jesus. But there is sweet peace in the midst, that truly surpasses all understanding. Jesus is worthy of all our service! He is the pearl of great price, for which a man sells all he has to buy it. His love is beyond all measure! Oh! I wish I had the words to praise Him! And I know even in heaven that it won't be possible to fully praise Him as He deserves, but as the hymn says, “Oh that day, when freed from sinning, I shall see His lovely face! Clothed then in, blood washed linen, How I'll sing His sovereign Grace!”
It doesn't matter your age, your skills, or your weaknesses, if you are truly a redeemed saint, you are called to share the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ. Which is that we were dead in our trespasses and sins following the course of this world which leads to death, hell, and the grave. We hate God on our own, and apart from Him loving us, and giving us a new heart and mind, we could never love Him. We have broken everyone of His laws, the ten commandments, we have all lied, stolen, and used His holy name in vain. And those are only three of the ten commandments. On judgment day we stand guilty before a thrice holy God. We deserve nothing but punishment, which is God's wrath in an eternal hell. God is good. God is just. And God is love. He loves righteousness and hates wickedness, therefore He must punish sin. But God is rich in mercy, He sent His only begotten Son into this world, Jesus Christ, truly God and truly man. He lived the perfect sinless life we could never live. And was beaten, mocked, spat upon, crucified by wicked men, bore the white hot wrath of God we deserve, He paid all the debt for His peoples' sins and bought them with His precious blood, then He cried out “It is finished!” and He died, but three days later arose from the grave, showing that God's wrath was satisfied and that He is mighty to save! He ascended into heaven and reigns victorious, and one day He will return in glory and judgment. And if you repent of your sins, [turn from your sin and turn to God] and believe the Gospel, you will be saved. God promises He will remove your heart of stone and give and heart of flesh, that can love Him and His Righteousness. Your next breath is not guaranteed, Oh! If you are not saved, come to Christ before it is too late!
Only when you are made right in Christ, and are a new creation in Him, will you be able to stand . And we can be like Joseph, no matter what our circumstances are, we can give glory and honor to God, while being obedient to Him. And be strong and courageous, because God is with us, and He has overcome the world. We have a sure hope in our blessed Lord, He is risen, risen indeed! He is victorious, and we have the victory through Him! What a wonderful Savior we have!
I pray this has been a blessing and encouragement.
Your sister in Christ,
Delanie
Remember dear saints everything points back to:
Matthew 28:18-20 “And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
