I have a praise God moment! My mother inlaw was down in the cities with kidney problems. Her left one wasnt working and she had desided to let it die. Shed be fine with only one.
The drs couldnt get through the walls of her kidney to put in a attachment bag. Her daughter works for several drs in the cities She took over after the drs up here couldnt do anything but let it die. She set her mom up for an appointment there . After the surgury she regained the other kidney. Thank you God!!!!!
Was traveling from my Grandparents house into town to go grocery shopping, we go that way many times a week, so we notice anything new. And on one of the main roads there was a brand new billboard. Clear as day. No missing it.
JESUS SAID, I AM THE WAY
THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE...
READ JOHN 14:6
It was a hard day and just seeing that verse out in the public was such a blessing.
It is easy to feel alone as a Christian especially here in DE where it is a very left wing state.
But we are not alone, and “The Kingdom is spreading!” as one of my favorite Hymns says.
I know this means little as way of evangelism, in of itself, but maybe it will open up some good conversations. May God be pleased to grant reformation and revival. And Lord haste the day when not only this state, or this nation, but the whole world worships God!
The world is nuts, it's dark, but the only light that can save us is the Gospel. Matthew 28! Onward!
For the last 4ish months I have been hulling water to my chickens. Because one of the water spouts [whatever those things are called] burst, and the other one froze. God is so good! Dad was able to fix it today. Weather and physical limitations have kept it from being fixed.
We got a green house it is 10 feet by 6 feet. I am very happy, now I have a spot to start seeds besides the kitchen and dining room and living room. Mom will be much happier now. :-) and I have a spot to put my hydroponics set up.
We're also getting 6 new raised beds this year, instead of trying to wrestle everything being in the ground.
Last year my garden was essentially a fail, it wasn't from laziness but tragedy followed by injuries. My grandfather had a stroke, my dad broke his back, and then I hurt myself trying to catch up on wood before winter. But I praise God I was able to take care of my father and grandfather, and my neighbors helped me out by “selling” practically giving me produce to help catch up what was lost in my garden.
It has been a long, slow, recovery but God is so gracious. I am back to normal, no braces no injuries. God is so good! Slowly but surely building my strength back up. And starting to prepare for this year. More than likely my grandfather will have to move in with us in the near months, as his health issues progress, but God put me here to serve. I ask you, please continue to pray for his salvation and my grandmother's.
Starting to work on some St Patrick's day outreaches, baking cute cookies, praying for open doors. May God be pleased to bless my efforts.
Been very busy, to much to try to write, but we labor not in vain! Everything points to Jesus and the Gospel, and as I heard somewhere “Our theology comes out our fingertips.” We should be rich in good works, to shine the light of the Gospel to the world.
Don't grow weary brothers and sisters, Jesus is reigning, and no matter how crazy this world gets He is King of kings and Lord of lords! His Kingdom come, His will be done, On earth as it is in heaven!
Every so often I see someone refer to their prayer request as too small or too insignificant or too selfish. I am here to tell you right now that that is just not true. I am notorious for asking for 'small' prayers. I share small stories with people of God Showing Off when opportunity allows.
Yesterday I was looking for a small torpedo level and, of course, it was not where it is supposed to be. I asked, "Lord, I did it again and would you please help me see where I put that cotton picking level?" As I walked away, I looked to my left and there it was 10 feet further in plain site!
My favorite moment of God truly showing off was last fall when I was at my daughter's house in Utah. At that time her golden retriever puppy was 9 months old and into EVERYTHING. I was in a comfy chair reading and I had taken my glasses off to read. Now keep in mind, I need my glasses for everything else. We looked high and low, inside and outside, for hours for those glasses!!!! I really thought I was crazy and left them in some weird place. I had an extra pair, but really adored the lost ones. As we were buttoning up the house for the night I said out-loud, "Lord, I really hope I am not crazy, and I would graciously appreciate it if you would show me where I put them." All of the sudden, that puppy came running from her bedroom and out the doggie door to the back yard. He immediately returned and yep, you guessed it, dropped my glasses at my feet as he ran back to her bedroom!!!! We both stood there in awe and I thanked to Lord graciously for answered prayers out-loud. My daughter laughed and said she needs to get me to ask for her prayer requests. LOL, only thing I forgot to include in my prayer was that my glasses be useable! Yep, all chewed up, but God did answer my prayers right then. I know God was just sitting there giggling.
The past week has been a whirlwind, but it's alright I can rest when I'm dead. :-} But God is so good and faithful!
On Saturday went and did all sorts of shopping for the church's quarterly luncheon. Mom and I are in charge of those. Now note I hate being in very congested areas of people, it freaks me out, so I was not the happiest of campers about going to Walmart on Saturday. But I did it, got all the stuff we needed, and were in line.
When it was our turn to get rung up, I asked the lady how she was doing etc. just small talk, then she asked what we were shopping for, I told her a luncheon at my church, and asked her if she had a home church. She said no, she was raised Buddhist. I could tell she didn't really want to talk about it, so went on asking about how her day was, and just caring about her. Her whole disposition changed by the end of the conversation.
After she handed mom the receipt. I handed her a crocheted hair tie and a tract with a church card in it. I said, “Ma'am, I make these to give them away, this is for you. As I said earlier, I'm a Christian, and in case you're ever interested in what the Gospel is here is some information.” She just looked shocked, I continued, “I know what you believe, I have studied it. I'm not just shoving my side at you. But I just met you and I care about your soul. There is only salvation in Jesus Christ. Have a great day and God bless.”
She thanked me, and couldn't get over the fact I was nice. She said with a tears in her eyes, “You are the only Christian I've met who wasn't rude to me, I know you believe this.” And then she promised she'd read the tract. May God be pleased to save her.
God was faithful in spite of my grumbling about walmart.
Sunday, we had a great sermon and luncheon, my friend's husband had just passed seminary and we had a surprise congratulations party for him. I made his favorite deserts and decorated the area, balloon arch banners and so forth. He was very happy, and thankful.
I did so good, I didn't cut or burn myself baking, I was safe decorating and setting up, used ladders and didn't break my neck, I was so happy and after taring down and cleaning everything at the very end I came downstairs to finish bringing stuff up to the car. I was unaware the floor was just mopped.... As soon as I got down the stairs, Weeeee! Splat! Pride goeth before the fall I guess. I've got skills apparently, hit my shin, knee, back and tail end without hitting my head.. Was able to laugh it off as I was in a group of people. But I had hurt my back a week prior when I fell holding a baby, I thew myself backward in order not to fall on the baby, The muscle I pulled and bruised then was the same I landed on... Nothing but my pride.. A lot of rest and a few epsom salt soaks later and I'm pretty much better, God is good! But it is alright on Monday I got a call I'm accepted into a local craft fair. So I can prepare for that while I rest. I'm so happy! I've been trying to get in it for the last two years, finally worked out this year. So God willing it will go well. Now I need to make a thank you note with the Gospel in it to hand out with receipts. Prayers appreciated for wisdom in writing that.
God is so good!
So keep on keeping on Matthew 28! Onward! Much love and many prayers.
