Phew! It has been a crazy last two weeks! But God is so good! It has been a blessed and busy time. And God's hand of providence has been throughout it. First of all, I hope you all had a wonderful Easter, He is risen!
The Thursday before Easter, my grandmother [the christian] was finally up to going out shopping, she doesn't like to go out alone, so she asked if I would tag along. I gladly went and helped her through the store. We were very slow, but had a great time. Now going through an entire store right before Easter is not my idea of a good time, but it was a blessing to her, and I thank God for the opportunity to minister to her. And she even felt up to getting lunch. I am so glad she felt up to going out and picked where she wanted to eat. [she has been in a depression funk and this was a great sign for her.] We went to her house and I put all the groceries away for her. Then we ate, and we had some good conversation. Thank God mom came and picked me up when she did, because as soon as I got home, my body reacted like food poison to lunch. Apparently something got crossed in the fryer.. So for the entire weekend I was recovering from that. Happy Easter too me! But I didn't hurl in the car, and my grandmother never found out, so she didn't feel bad. Praise God!
On Good Friday, where does mom pick to go but Walmart.... So while she was shopping I was trying to do some witnessing, but everyone was so rude and shoving. I just gave up and came back to help mom finish, getting cases of water and sodas for a party. Got all of mom's stuff into the cart. When I over heard an elderly couple, on scooters, he was telling his wife, that he was going to try and get some things on the higher shelves, but didn't know if he could. I thank God I was able to hear him, and I told them to tell me what they wanted. And I got it down and brought it to them. Then I politely, yet firmly dealt with some idiots being rude to them for being slower. They were trying to shove them out of the way, so slipped myself between them and the scooters, put my hands in the pockets of my skirt, to make my skirt wider as kinda a “shield”, and just stood there. I got the message through they would have to be rude to me instead, without a word, and they just huffed away. The couple saw what I did. And With tears in their eyes they thanked me. The whole store has been rude to us, Thank you! I told them No worries, glad I could help you guys. Happy Easter, He is risen! Jesus saves!” Turns out they were Christians! So Christians exist out in the world even in walmart! Thank God I was able to be there at just the right time to help them, and for the reminder we're not alone as Christians. Glory to God!
We had a wonderful time with family and friends, on Saturday we had a dinner and party with our church family. Very sweet fellowship, and little kids running around having a blast. And we actually had good weather! Very hot, but it wasn't pouring rain! Praise God for that. And Selfishly I thank God, I got extra baby snuggles, while the kids did their egg hunt, the baby was getting over heated, so I took him in the shade next to the fan, so everyone else would be able to help the kids with the eggs. And he was just too stinking cute!
On Easter Sunday went to my family's [mom's side], after Church. Everyone was way too tuned in, to witness to, so I sat with my grandmother, and we talked about the true meaning of Easter. God is good!
But Praise God!!! On Monday I was able to share the Gospel with my grandmother [dad's side unbeliever] She is extremely hard of hearing, so to talk to her you practically have to shout. I know my grandfather was awake at the time, and he more than likely heard me present it to her! Praise God! But I still want to tell him the Gospel directly from me. I greatly appreciate your prayers for that. Lord willing Friday night, I am going to spend a good deal of time with him, helping him with getting his office and room cleaned and better suited for him. May God be pleased to bless my efforts.
Remember we are not responsible to save people, but we must be faithful in the opportunities we are given, to share the Gospel. God is the one who does the saving! And what a comfort that is!
One praise report: I made it into here! another password, but I managed!
I wanted to report that 2 days after I hung my first hummingbird feeder, we had the little amazing birds visit! They make me so happy! I give thanks every morning for all the birds singing, they give praise to the Father and I can join in. I find them to be a wonderful blessing!
yes and I missed it on the live - heard the replay though. BTW I use kleineroteHex on yt, to clear up the confusion. I have a yt channel under my name, but for whatever reason it will not switch my name. I gave up to figure out why, not that important.
OHHHH Well that explains it. SO what would you like me to call you when I chare a testimony from you? Is kleinerotehex alright since everyone know you by that?
So on saturday I had my first craft fair ever. It went really well, made some money but more importantly made some connections and learned a lot.
My squeaky little voice was a problem, no one could really hear me, but kept on going. And God is so good, out of the whole senior center and table placements, I got the table right in front of the door! And across from a family friend who also had a table. [the only other person there I knew] God is gracious!
The whole selling at the market thing was simple and to the point, I had John 3:16 on my thank you cards and tracts available if someone was interested. Not a strong evangelism day.
But God graciously opened a door with an older man who had a table down from me. Toward the end of the event, when no one was really coming to my table mom sat in my place and I went around looking at the tables. I went to his first because I liked the pictures and jewelry boxes he had made.
Started talking to him, hi, how are you doing, sort of thing. We were both bored because there was really no one coming to our side of the market.
He asked me what grade I was in and where I went to school, I told him that I'm in 11th grade and homeschooled. He was very interested and told me he was a teacher to the 11th grade kids who got kicked out of five different schools because they were so bad, and they got sent to him. He told me every time he saw a teenager he gets cussed out, hit and spat at. And he couldn't get over the fact I was polite to him. He thanked me and basically asked me, Tell me the reason for the hope that is in you.
I told him, I owe a lot of it to my Godly parents and being homeshooled, but apart from the grace of God I'd make your students look like angels. Jesus saved me and that is why I'm different.
He kind of just said wow, and asked what I wanted to be when I graduated. [uncomfortable with the mention of Jesus I assume] I said I want to be a stay at home mom and do fairs like this on the side. But there aren't many young men around so that may be on hold for a while. Then he asked me If I knew the difference between courting and dating. I said yes, I plan on courting, but if I say that people automatically think I'm part of a cult. We both laughed then I said I don't know where you stand, sir, but I'm a christian therefore I will date like a christian when that time comes, and being a christian drives everything I do. And of course as soon as the conversation goes to spiritual things, we both get business... Over the target I guess.
Then the market ended, he came over and gave me some advice on the market thing. And again said it was so nice to see a young person polite and that he thought the whole generation was going to the dogs and I gave him hope. Needless to say I was kinda in shock hearing it, and all I could mutter out was thank you. He went to pack up his stuff. And I just prayed Lord I don't know how, but please let me get a chance to share the Gospel with him!
I tore down all my stuff and packed up, and where was he parked but next to our car! My stupid fear and cowardice kept me from sharing with him there.
Went in to get my water bottle, I had forgotten, on the walk back in I was kicking myself because I blew it. He was there, I prayed for the open door, God granted it, and I just blew it! And then thoughts of his fate if he never hears the Gospel flashed in my head.
Walked in grabbed my bottle, and looked he was still packing up some of his stuff! I ran over, and stutteringly got it out, “sir, I can't deal with myself if I don't tell you this, The Gospel is the best news you can ever hear, this is a tract that explains it, and here is a card with my church's info on it if you are ever interested.” He kinda just looked like a deer in head lights and thanked me. And said he kept on getting reminded of things of God and about religion, all week. And this was a confirmation.
Glory to God! In spite of my cowardice and fear, He used me. And he graciously gave me not only a second but third chance!
I don't tell you this to praise me, or toot my own horn so to speak. But it took someone the same age and grade of his students to get through to him the power of the Gospel to transform. I don't know why, but that is how God worked it out. He puts us right where He wants us, so just be faithful where you are, and be about Matthew 28! If you learn anything from me, don't run, just obey God! I know there are people only you can get through to, Just obey God, trust Him and He will handle the rest. The Kingdom will spread regardless of us, but what a blessing to be part of it! And what a blessing to know it's not about us, perfect words, or not stuttering, But about God! He will save His people! Hallelujah!
I find technology quite challenging, so i hope i am putting this in the correct place, Moni.
This has been a teeter-tottering time for me, as well as the family here.
One of my grandsons was dabbling in drugs, a path we had gone down with his parents when he was very young. It was a long road, and his Mom has been free of that for years. It was a difficult number of years, and God has been SO good to our family. She is a wonderful Mom and daughter. We have a beautiful relationship. i asked for prayer from you all for my grandson, and God was very quick to deliver him from that. Thank you all for your prayers.
A lot has been going on still. i feel i am in heavy spiritual warfare.
My oldest daughter has been in rebellion against Father God for quite some time and has openly opposed my faith. She is abrasive and even hostile about scripture. Please keep us in prayer about that.
But today: Monday afternoon, my youngest (with 5 Littles of her own), was taken to the hospital by ambulance! Her boyfriend was there, normally he would have been on his way to work (see God's hand), and she was in great pain, and passed out...but he was there, and kept her from hitting anything in the small area she was in. He got her safely to the floor, called help, and brought the 2 Littles not in school, to me, then went to be with her. He also went to get the older 3 to me after school, and returned to be with her.
God is so Good.
Hours and multiple tests later, and much prayer, they gave us a good report. She won't require surgery!
She is in some discomfort, but will fully recover. We are all SO SO THANKFUL. God has truly taken care of all of us.
As many of you know, i have been pretty much 100% deaf in my right ear since Nov laster year.
2 weeks ago, I had surgery to replace the failed ossicular chain prothesis that sits right behind the eardrum drum.
As of a few days ago, the packing material has started to dissolve and I am beginning to start hearing upper midrange and higher tones. Lower tones should come in time. I am really really grateful. Post-op check-up on Wednesday. God is great all the time 😉
You are a real spitfire for the Lord! Love your reports - my days are boring compared to yours! Nevertheless full of peace and blessing.
Scatter shot of praise reports.
