What do you think? We usually do our decorating the day after Thanksgiving,
But it is dreary and cold outside and life has been crazy, I think I'm going to decorate my room and bathroom early. The world's gone nuts and I think some advent cheer would do everyone around me some good. And besides i've been sitting with my ankles resting and looking at my room I think it needs some decor the wall map alone isn't cutting it.😂
What do you think, am i nuts? [okay i already know the answer on that one! LOL]
When do y'all decorate? What colors and styles do you use?
Have a blessed day everyone

Remember our task, goal, and privilege! Matthew 28!
This year I think it's going to be especially important to celebrate our Saviors coming to earth to save us! So, no. Not too early.
We are decorating next week. My son asked me to so that is my reason to decorate before Thanksgiving this year.
Not at all! I love celebrating Chrismtas ALL year long! Turn on the Christmas Music and sing sing sing. Decorate, and spread the Christmas cheer. My husband prefers we wait till after Thanksgiving meal. Then the grandchildren decorate the tree with all the ornaments from our childhood. While he naps, I unwrap the ornaments and explain the story behind each of the ornaments. He loves to wake up and see the tree all done, and then we have hot cocoa and listen to the Chrismas song we wrote...The Greatest GIft, and then begin singing Chrismat songs. But NOOOOO tinsel on the tree!
I think you are an amazing person and I think you "should" decorate any day or time you desire - November, December, July, whenever! Have fun and make things uniquely yours! (and do one of the most difficult things many humans have difficulty doing - not caring or worrying or even thinking about what others think - comparison is such a waste of energy and time, believe me, lol)
take care!
Its never too late. Most of my friends do it on Nov 1st. I always wait til my birthday as a gift to myself. Go for it!!! I always was frustrated for my tree to be "perfect" so we started taking home depot shrink wrap and they wrap my tree up every year and we pull it out, unwrap, adjust ornaments and branches and WHALA!!! We also every year add new special ornaments to make it a memory tree. So when Gabe started guitar, i ordered a guitar ornament. Swim team (daughter) got her swim team ornament with year on it. So my tree is more like a scrapbook of memories. We love looking at them and being reminded of years past.
Our very first tree, we couldn't afford much so I got a bag of bows and just put them on the tree. When my daughter was 2year I bought sesame street fabric and sewed puffy ornaments (filled with stuffing) and put them all over the tree, so she could touch and grab the ornaments safely.
Now, I have one of those puffy ornaments on the tree to remember that year. and from each year then on...an ornament from what the kids did that year that was new or special.
Do it when ever your heart tells you to. I have a small white tree, that I put birds multicolored balls, a butterfly and a pink hippo in a glitter tutu on mine. Oh and can't forget the gold star. Honestly, we haven't decorated for Christmas the last 3 years. At our age and with all the kids gone and my grand kids all young adults-or close to, its just easier to go over to their place (When they all can get together at one time).
The real question is, when is it too late to take down the Christmas decorations? 🤔😁 Also, if we leave the tree up till Easter, it almost has a different meaning. 😉
No, not too early at all! And no, you are NOT nuts! Decorate and enjoy!!!!! 💖🎄
