“ If a commission by an earthly king is considered an honor, how can a commission by a Heavenly King be considered a sacrifice?” —David Livingstone
Matthew 28:18-20 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Nice quote Delanie,
I see what David Livingston is saying in the quote, but I also see that in scripture our Heavenly commision is an honor and a sacrifice. This account came to mind....
2Samuel 24:24 And the king said unto Araunah, Nay; but I will surely buy it of thee at a price: neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the LORD my God of that which doth cost me nothing. So David bought the threshingfloor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.
So in a way, the willing heart of a servant gives sacrificially an we count it as an honor to serve our King.
