Our Bullet Proof Pastor has begun the Book of Revelation today. Feel free to post comments and questions here in regards to the study. First episode is at....
A huge Thank you to Pastor Woods for going through the Book of Revelation. We all may have more questions than answers after going through it, but that gives us opportunity to dig through it again again to search for treasure. Just as Revelation shared, there is a special blessing for those who read or listen and do what is in this book. I remember reading through it many times before finding this album...."Unveiled Hope" by Micheal Card. I put the CD in the player, and put on my headphones and listened to the songs in order. By the end, I was sobbing for those that did not choose Jesus, and Praising Jesus for all He chose to do for us, out of His love for His Beloved....His Bride.
May you blessed each time you read, and as you listen to this study and the album which is Revelation set to music. Just as Pastor Brad does with the Psalms and more, it is a wonderful way to memorize God's Word and hide it in our hearts.
Pastor woods was talking about where we will be for eternity. the verses below alwasy made me wonder if some will be in the New Jerusalem forever and not on the earth, as it says he shall go...no more out. Thoughts?
Rev 3:12Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God,which isnew Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: andI will write upon himmy new name.
Rev 3:13He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
In the city of Philadelphia, Asia Minor, it was a custom to honor one by dedicating a pillar of the temple in their name. As time went on, pillars might have their namesake changed several times (go out). Jesus' promise to believers was that they would remain AS PILLARS in the temple of God and never be replaced or named by another. It is a message of enduring reward.
I thought that at one time, but keep coming back to this not being an analogy with AS Pillars, but A Pillar in the temple. Although I did not ever read about the history behind the temple pillars that you stated here. I have found comfort in knowing that God would have us at His side forever and that we would never go out anymore.
Pastor Woods:Well, the LIVE Chat wasn't working today. It happened on my Youtube channel on Monday for a short time. Thanks for the run down on all the "Come up hither" verses. I hae alwasy noticed the one in Revelation 4:1
Rev 4:1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter. (Calling the Church/Bride to Heaven)
but not the others
Rev 12:5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne. (Calling Jesus to Heaven)
I think I missed the Daniel reference. Which verse was that?
